I am fascinated by beers and the brewing process. I made a couple of homebrews under the label "Violation of Expectation Homebrews"

Mulligan to Six was the first IPA. A very straightforward brew. The unnamed second was heavier, maltier, kettle-hopped with Amarillo, and then dry-hopped twice with Citra. Sort of like Belgian meets New England.

Craft breweries in mainland US

For a data science course, I looked at craft breweries in mainland US to look for what predicts high scores in online reviews. One fascinating outcome was that the 7,000-odd mainland US breweries form four very neat clusters. Check out the report & presentations here!
